1977 Topps Star Wars 4th Series (green borders) - Unopened Wax Pack - EXCELLENT-NEAR MINT – This pack came from an unopened box which I bought myself when these were first released in 1977. Since Disney has owned the Star Wars franchise, demand for original Star Wars collectibles has continued to skyrocket. From the release of very first Star Wars film in 1977, there has never been a lull in the interest of collectibles from the first Star Wars trilogy. With the release of each new Star Wars film, these packs will only continue to appreciate. This wax pack contains seven 4th Series cards and one sticker from the original Topps Star Wars issue. Even though there are no valuable inserts in these 1970's Topps issues (but the stickers are still worth several times as much as the cards), these 4th Series packs offer a chance for a very special Star Wars error card. As a matter of fact, it is THE Star Wars error card. Card #207 of C3PO was recalled in mid-print run (and later corrected). It seems that some bozo at Topps "touched up" the original card, before it went to press, to give C3PO a rather obviously protruding body part. In the corrected version, that "body part" was removed. The error and the corrected card were printed in approximately the same quantity, and in this group of wax packs I offer here, both can be found. Check out what a graded error #207 goes for these days. Don't forget, this nearly 50-year-old pack is in beautiful condition.
